1. FIRST-WEEK CHECKLIST
Day 1: Confirm role, scope, region, time zone, software access and named reviewer. Record drawing/specification revisions and document permissions.
Day 2: Read finish schedules, elevations, room data, coating specifications and architectural plans. Write a scope map and questions log before measuring.
Day 3: Measure surfaces by substrate and finish system. Separate walls, ceilings, trim and specialty items. State opening deductions, coat assumptions and the basis of any coverage calculation.
Day 4: Add quoted or approved pricing, source dates, labour basis, assumptions and exclusions. Review Confirm patching, preparation, occupied work, protection, access, colour changes and specialty coatings. Do not treat a manufacturer’s coverage figure as a guaranteed site production rate.
Day 5: Reconcile surfaces to room finishes, check duplicated openings and verify preparation and coating scope against the specification.

2. SAMPLE ASSIGNMENT
Two rooms with different wall finishes, a ceiling area and a revised door schedule. Use a training set or authorised redacted drawings. Submit marked plans, a quantity workbook, assumptions, exclusions, RFIs and a revision summary. No invented rates or client claims.
